This Privacy Policy explains how Parstock ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website and Service at app.parstockapp.com. By using Parstock, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the Service, and information from third parties.
- Account Information: Your name, email address, business name, phone number, and password when you create an account.
- Business and Usage Data: Inventory records, product catalogs, orders, par levels, delivery notes, vendor information, order history, and inventory counts you enter into the Service.
- Automatically Collected Data: IP address, device type, browser, usage logs, cookies, and analytics data such as page views and session duration.
- AI-Related Data: Your order patterns and history used to generate AI-powered ordering suggestions and par level recommendations.
- Team and User Data: Information about team members you invite, including their email addresses, roles, and permission levels.
- Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
2. How We Collect Information
- Directly from you during signup, order entry, inventory counts, profile updates, or support requests.
- Automatically through cookies, analytics tools, and server logs as you interact with the Service.
- From third-party service providers such as Stripe (payment processing) and Supabase (infrastructure) when necessary to provide the Service.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including AI-powered features.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send you account-related communications such as order confirmations, billing notices, and security alerts.
- To send marketing communications where you have provided consent or where permitted by applicable law. You may opt out at any time.
- To personalize your experience and generate AI order suggestions based on your specific order history and inventory data.
- For analytics, security monitoring, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
- To train and improve our AI models using aggregated and anonymized data where possible. We will not use your individually identifiable business data to train models shared with other organizations.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist in operating the Service — including Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and infrastructure), Resend (transactional email), and Anthropic (AI processing) — under strict confidentiality agreements and only as needed to provide services to us.
- Your Team: Information is shared with members of your organization in accordance with your account role and permission settings.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information to law enforcement, regulators, or courts when required by applicable law or to protect our legal rights.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as reasonably necessary to provide the Service and comply with our legal obligations. If you cancel your account, we will retain your data for a period of 90 days to allow for reactivation, after which it will be permanently deleted or anonymized, except where we are required to retain certain records for accounting, tax, or legal purposes.
We may retain aggregated and anonymized data derived from your usage indefinitely for service improvement purposes.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

We use essential cookies required for the Service to function (such as session authentication) and analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. Analytics data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings; however, disabling essential cookies may affect your ability to use the Service.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. Our infrastructure is hosted on Supabase, which maintains SOC 2 compliance.
Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk.
If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
9. International Data Transfers
Parstock is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers where required by law.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for use by businesses and individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
